Cory Hargreaves is one of the most promising Singer/Songwriters on the music scene today. Armed with only an acoustic guitar and one truly amazing voice he possesses the unique ability to write huge musical anthems which penetrate your soul and make you want to sing along with him. As a performer, Cory has toured extensively around Australia and also successfully completed two independent tours of the U.S. He has been invited to perform alongside such music greats as Deep Purple and Heart as well as many others.

In 2006 Cory Hargreaves made the transition from rock & roll frontman to country artist and began writing a collection of modern contemporary country songs which he planned to release on his debut full length album. With brand new songs, a new direction and a burning desire to record his first album as a solo artist, Hargreaves performed relentlessly for the next twelve months. Playing up to 6 shows a week enabled him to completely self finance and record his debut album which was released through I Tunes and distributed in Australia by MGM (Green Media), in June 2007.

Cory’s exceptional talent as a songwriter, guitarist and vocalist shine through on his debut album. From the heartfelt opening track, ‘Bluestone Room’ right through untill the final track ‘Firefly’, a ten minute Led Zepplin-esque epic. It is the quality of each and every song on this album which marks the impressive arrival of Cory Hargreaves on the country music scene.

Cory’s gifted songwriting was rewarded shortly after the album was released in 2007. The opening track ‘Bluestone Room’ was chosen from over 10,000 entries and awarded First Prize in the Australian Songwriting Contest. This is the largest and longest running Songwriting Contest of its kind in Australia.

In June 2009, Cory released his award winning track Bluestone Room as the first single from his debut album. The song is currently receiving airplay on over 70 radio stations across Australia and the music video is being played on the Country Music Channel.

Cory has a treasure trove of over 40 recorded songs and many more written and ready to be recorded. He is a world class singer/songwriter with a magnetic stage presence. His talents command the respect and attention of the most savvy music industry labels interested in cultivating his musical career to the esteemed heights he is sure to attain.
